Spring Registration Is NOW Open! – Closing on 2/10/2018
Crofton Spring County Basketball is now open. Spring County Basketball is offered for players ages 8u through 14u (based on their age on 9/1/2017), boys and girls. Spring basketball is intended for seasoned, competitive players playing at a higher than average level. For less experienced players, Crofton offers winter intramural basketball with registration opening in October. Games are typically on Sundays at Anne Arundel County Schools and practices are held two times during the week at Crofton Schools.
NOTE: Due to the fact that everyone who registers makes a spring team and the fact that basketball teams need to be in multiples of approximately 10 players, we have enabled the wait list at several divisions. If your child is interested in playing, PLEASE register for the waitlist. Once we have enough registrations at that division, we’ll send you a note that you can complete your registration.
Additionally, since everyone makes a spring county team who registers, we may not need or have evaluations.
Intramural (house) basketball is typically for younger players who are looking to learn the game. For ages 5-6, we offer clinic basketball to introduce players to the game (practices and games are on Sundays). For ages 7-12, we offer intramural where players will play against others in Crofton. Practices are typically on Saturdays but may be during the week. Games are typically on Sundays, but may fall on Saturday nights. Intramural registration typically opens in on 10/1 and closes on 10/31.
If you have any questions about our Intramural/Clinic/House program for boys and girls ages 5 through 12, please email Heather Liberati at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Winter County (travel) basketball is typically for those players who are more experienced and looking for a high level of competition. For ages 8u – 12u, we will have evaluations. Any player not making a county team will be automatically moved to our intramural (house) program. For ages 13u-17u, we will be limiting registrations in multiples of 10. If your child is registered after that, there will be a waitlist. We will let you know when enough additional players have signed up to allow for another team so you can proceed with registering.
Since our registrations are prior to High School tryouts, any player making a High School JV or Varsity team will get a refund of their registration fee. So, please sign your child up for county even if they are trying out for their school. If you wait, it will be too late.
Winter County registration typically opens on 9/1 and closes on 9/30.
